This fragrance has retired. if you enjoyed 90s Goth, you may also enjoy Ghost Horse and Joan Of Arc.

Aroma palette is a spooky, spicy, dark floral musk with hints of leather and spice. Highlights include clove cigarette smoke, jet black lipstick, worn leather, and white violet musk.

Enter New York City in the 90s, where the goth subculture was in full swing. The artists ode to the scene is a dark, mysterious journey through the accoutrements and aromatic nuances of the mid to late 90s. This head turning blend is built on a unique accord of black lipstick and violet musk. On the dry down, it reveals wisps of the finest clove cigarette smoke and a most subtle leather before settling into a violet musk with hints of clove.

Whether you were there or not, this haunting unisex perfume is ideal for anyone who marches to the beat of their own drum and likes their fragrances to do the same. Strange and unusual, yet somehow familiar, this blend is a dark and evocative head turner which brings to mind visions of ghosts marauding through the basement of an abandoned cathedral.

Ingredients

Fractionated coconut oil, fragrance.

*We use skin-healthy fractionated coconut oil as a diluent for our oil-based fragrances due to it's non-greasy texture, odorlessness, stability, resistance to oxidation, and unparalleled shelf life.

*Our fragrances are composed of the highest quality essential oils, plant extracts, phthalate free synthetics, house-made accords, absolutes, resins, c02s, isolates, aroma chemicals, professional perfumery bases, and unique compositions crafted by the artist.

What Are Perfume Oils?

Please note that these are not fragrance oils; they are perfume oils (artisan perfumes presented in oil format). They are meant to be worn on the skin and are not suitable for wax warmers, oil burners, or aroma diffusers. The only difference between our perfume oils and Eau de Parfums is the oil format. Many people prefer perfume oils because they wear close to the skin and unfold a bit more non-linearly than Eau de Parfums. For a more in-depth look at perfume oils, please peruse our knowledge base articles.

About Perfume Oils

Perfume oils do not unfold their complexity when experienced directly from the bottle. If you attempt to gauge the aroma of a perfume oil by smelling it from the bottle, your experience will not be accurate whatsoever. Always test perfumes on your body for the full experience.

Apply first to your pulse points (the inner wrists, the base of the throat, behind ear lobes, and the inner elbows) where it will warm with your body heat to unfold the fragrance.

Perfume oil, unlike alcohol-based perfumes, wears close to the skin. It warms on your body, adapts to your body chemistry, and creates a halo of scent on the body. As it fades, perfume oil can be applied throughout the day as a personal aromatic ritual.

Not recommended for those who are pregnant or nursing, children, or pets. Always patch test for potential allergies before applying liberally.

Dark, Warm and Enticing!

I wasn't sure about ordering perfume before smelling it, but I was down for trying something new and supporting an independent artist's business. Compared to some other brands I was looking at, the descriptions and reviews here were really detailed and sounded so great, which eased some of my doubts and eventually I caved, getting the discovery set so that I could try a few different ones.

I waited a couple of weeks to leave any reviews because I wasn't sure about them at first sniff/first wear. Straight from the bottle, this one kind of reminded me of that rubber-esque smell in sportswear shops, plus a bit of clove. But these are some really unique, complex blends, so like pretty much every one I purchased, it takes warming on the skin for it to really flourish!
The description is pretty spot on, though for me, the evolution of the notes are slightly different. Right off the bat, I get leather and slightly smokey cloves. It dries down to reveal that slightly sweet, waxy smell of lipstick and a soft violet musk. Really nicely blended with the leather and clove notes which linger throughout ever so deliciously. I'm sure both women and men would like this, as it's not sweet or super floral. It's smokey, spicy, warm and alluring.

Alas I was not a 90's Goth, (late 90's/early 2000's baby here yis hi hello,) but this blend certainly has a nostalgic quality. Mysterious, dark and strangely cozy, it takes me back to my high school days. Smoking djarum blacks, wearing my dad's leather jacket, putting on my black cherry lipstick in that little cracked mirror in my locker. What an evocative scent this is! Any elder goth who smells this would have some crazy distinct memories be conjured in their minds, I'm sure. But even us youngins who wished we could have experienced that moment in time of the subculture, can wear a little piece of it. Thank you BB for crafting this incredible blend! 🖤

Goth Club and Garden Center

I hit the goth scene before the end of the good clubbing years (late 90's early 00's). While I expected to be hit with clove smoke up front which is usually what I got nailed with in the main club and outside, this spun up a bit more like "the scent that hit you in the ladies room at the goth club." This is the smell of leaning into a new friend to help them touch up their makeup or to talk into their ear over the noise. This is the smell of wearing a new outfit in leather and even a hint of vinyl. This has the delicate scent chosen by women of one or two notes of flowers: something soft and classic with something a bit funerial. For myself, as it fades down and mingles with my own chemistry I get a bit of a "Garden Center" vibe that is part flower and part dirt. This is right up my alley and is such a beautiful blend.

Definitely a throwback!

I got hit with nostalgia as soon as I opened the bottle. Not for goth clubs in 90's NYC, but for crayons! In the bottle, this actually reminded me of some scented crayons they used to make back in the 90's! They smelled awesome in case you don't remember, crayola magic scents I believe they were called. But thats just in the bottle. Once you put this perfume on is when it really shines! The floral and smokey notes come out and it takes the scent to whole new level. I LOVE this scent, I admittedly bought it just because of the name but this is easily my new favorite perfume of all time! 10/10

It’s something

Really unique, smells like a nightclub and old leather
A little goes a long way, it’s strong and very particular.
I really love it, I can’t believe the artist managed to bottle that smell. I giggle every time I open it.
