Book Fair Perfume Oil
Book Fair Perfume Oil
Aroma palette is a woodsy atmospheric. Highlights include freshly printed book pages, ink, number 2 pencils, and a cool autumn breeze wafting through the window of a school library.
This woodsy atmospheric encapsulates the aromatic nuances of a book fair in autumn. This blend is rooted in the vannilic yet woodsy softness of freshly printed book pages, the quick tang of new ink, and a ghosting of pencils. On the dry down, a hint of a cool autumn breeze wafts through an open window bringing ghostings of autumn leaves to this book centered brew.
This blend is ever changing and you will experience several unique changes on the dry down before it settles into a beautifully soft tobacco-like vanilla after several hours on the skin. I got this as part of the book sample pack and didn't think it'd be a wearable scent. Wrong! It actually turned out to be my favorite. On me the stand out notes are mint, pencil shavings and inky magazines. Usually atmospheric descriptions don't always line up with how a perfume translates to me, but this one really nailed it. It instantly reminds me of getting fashion magazines in my early teens that had perfume samples, mixed with that inky paper smell. So nostalgic and weirdly pretty on the skin. Truly a must try scent.
This scent is so amazing. What is great is it goes on really heavy, but within 30 minutes has mellowed out into one of the best scents I have ever worn. I love how long lasting it is, and I like the kind spicy, crispy scent it has.
I bought all of the book scents and it’s hard to pick a favorite. As far as nostalgic book memories go this is the one though! I don’t know how she did it but I can literally smell my fourth grade hardcover books in here. It’s very autumnal as well. More book scents please! Magical!!
This fragrance's magic snuck up on me. My first time wearing it I thought it was interesting and spot on as an atmospheric perfume, but I didn't think I'd be wearing it other than when I wanted to relive the specific sense memory it evokes. But over the next month or so as I'd be choosing a scent to accompany me through my day, I found myself reaching for Book Fair more often than almost all of the others in my collection. It opens with a crispness and that tang of ink and leaves that just gets me with its specificity, and then the warmer tobacco vanilla dry down is so comforting and lovely. I only wish I'd realized how much I love it sooner so I could get a full size!
Book Fair was a new discovery from the Halloween 2020 collection- such a beautiful fragrance that I ordered a larger size. So many different and intriguing aromas in this whimsical scent- vanilla, musk, earth, smoke, and I experienced sandalwood, which is a favorite scent of mine! I am hopeful that Book Fair and The Gables will become a part of the permanent collection!! 🖤
