Our hauntingly beautiful ode to the enigmatic Miss Havisham from Charles Dickens' renowned novel, this fragrance transports you to the faded grandeur of Satis House, where time stands still and olfactory echoes of a tragic past linger in the air.

Havisham's Ghost captures the essence of decay and lost beauty. It opens with the evocative aroma of damp soil, reminiscent of neglected gardens. Antique wood notes quickly emerge alongside an ethereal accord of decaying mansion wallpaper, carrying forgotten memories and the enduring presence of an old mansion's timeworn secrets.

Hints of charred lace peek through on the drydown -fragile, delicate, fire-tinged fabrics left to wither to time or perhaps to linger on in Havisham's spectral form. Finally, a mournful bouquet emerges, combining the delicate scent of withering roses, melancholic violets, and the tender allure of clover.

Please note that these are not fragrance oils; they are perfume oils (artisan perfumes presented in oil format). They are meant to be worn on the skin and are not suitable for wax warmers, oil burners, or aroma diffusers. The only difference between our perfume oils and Eau de Parfums is the oil format. Many people prefer perfume oils because they wear close to the skin and unfold a bit more non-linearly than Eau de Parfums. About Perfume Oils

Perfume oils do not unfold their complexity when experienced directly from the bottle. If you attempt to gauge the aroma of a perfume oil by smelling it from the bottle, your experience will not be accurate whatsoever. Always test perfumes on your body for the full experience.

Apply first to your pulse points (the inner wrists, the base of the throat, behind ear lobes, and the inner elbows) where it will warm with your body heat to unfold the fragrance.

A Love Letter to Havisham

I've become addicted to Havisham's Ghost! This mysterious, woody, and delicately forlorn fragrance opens beautifully with skin's warmth. The antique wood is carefully balanced with a quiet floral bouquet. Meanwhile, there's a melancholy ashen note in the distance, almost like a candle extinguished a few rooms away. And yet there is also a crispness and brightness to it. I feel refreshed wearing it. Truly a poem in a bottle. I've adored countless Black Baccara blends over the years and anticipate the Halloween release like a holiday itself. Among all my loves, this is at the very top with Ghost Violet. Thank you for making every autumn season so very special, Black Baccara!
