Policy Reminders

Current processing time as of 5/13 is up to 15 business days for orders placed prior to 5/13 and up to 30 business days for orders placed 5/13 and beyond. Black Baccara is the perfume house of a single artist who always aims to beat turnaround time, but the time listed is the maximum time it may take in light of demand and order volume.

UPDATE 5/19: We are experiencing extreme order volume and the artist has taken on as many orders as she can possibly handle, even with the extended turnaround time. In order to stay true to the posted turnaround time, checkout has been disabled as of 5/19. Please follow us on social media or subscribe to our email list to be informed when re-open.

In order to allow the artist to continue to craft and process orders as expeditiously possible, we have the following policies:

  • Processing time is always posted at the top of the website. We are unable to answer emails asking when orders will ship or emails asking for status updates on orders. Your order will ship within the time listed above. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number when your order ships. Some orders may ship sooner depending on the artists workflow. Her goal is always to beat the stated turnaround time. Please make sure our emails are not being caught in your spam folder. 
  • We are very transparent about turnaround times and include turnaround time updates in multiple areas of the site, including in the agreement checkbox that you must click before placing an order. Occasionally we will receive an email a few days after an order was placed demanding to know why it has not shipped yet. The artist will immediately cancel the order of any individual that does this and any subsequent orders will be canceled. Please understand that we are an art studio of a single artist, not a corporation like Amazon that is able to turnaround product in five days or less. While we have thousands of wonderful customers and this is only an occasional occurrence, it happens enough that the artist has now implemented this rule.
  • All sales are final. Please double-check your cart carefully for accuracy before checking out, because we are unable to change or cancel orders. We will not be able to respond to email requests asking us to combine, hold, cancel, add on to, or change orders unless you have made an error in your shipping address and need to make a correction. Orders enter the artists workflow immediately, so we are unable to cancel or change orders.
  • If you have input your address incorrectly, you must contact us within 24 hours to notify us so that we can change it. Shipping labels are automatically printed with the address you provide and we are not responsible for lost orders due to incorrect information provided to us. 
  • We will not be able to offer combined shipping on orders. If you place multiple orders, each will ship individually. We will not be able to respond to emails asking us to combine orders. Even if two orders are placed consecutively, there may be dozens of orders between them and our goal is to process orders as expeditiously as possible. Some orders may ship sooner than others depending on the artists workflow.
  • Free samples are not available with orders and we won’t be able to answer emails requesting free samples. 
  • Due to the nature of the artwork, we cannot accept returns and all sales are final.

    Additional questions:

    • Sample sets are no longer available and due to the artists schedule we are not sure when they will return. Dram sizes are available for many blends if you are looking for a smaller option for sampling purposes
    • Out of stock items from the permanent collection will be restocked. The best way to be alerted to restocks is to join our mailing list or follow us on Instagram.
    • We cannot ship Eau de Parfum overseas due to customs regulations and alcohol content.
    • Always conduct an allergy patch test before committing to a full perfume application. If you have specific known allergies, please contact us before purchase. Notes are not ingredients, and we are happy to crosscheck ingredients if you have allergy concerns.
